Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP) / Microneedling Post-Treatment Care:

To ensure optimal results and minimise the risk of side effects, please follow the guidelines below after your treatment:

  • Redness and Swelling: Mild redness, swelling, discomfort at the treated site are normal and may persist for 1 to 4 days. This will typically improve in the next 1 to 2 weeks.

  • Washing: Do not wash the treated area for the first 24 hours post-procedure. Keep the area clean and dry to reduce the risk of infection.

  • Touching: Avoid touching, massaging, or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 24 to 48 hours.

  • Blood-Thinning Agents: Refrain from taking medications or supplements with blood-thinning properties (e.g., aspirin, NSAIDs, vitamin E, fish oil) up to 7 days unless medically necessary.

  • Skincare Products: Avoid applying products containing exfoliating agent or active ingredients such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), beta hydroxy acids (BHA), vitamin A, or vitamin C for at least 72 hours.

  • Makeup: Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 24 hours post-treatment.

  • Sun Exposure: Avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight for up to 2 weeks. After 24 hours, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to protect the treated area.

  • Heat Exposure: Avoid excessive heat, including hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and hot yoga, for at least 72 hours post-treatment.

  • Exercise: Strenuous physical activity should be avoided for 72 hours.

  • Alcohol and Smoking: Refrain from consuming alcohol for 24 hours and avoid smoking to support optimal healing and results.

  • Avoid these Aesthetic Procedures:          

    • 2 weeks: facials, waxing, chemical peels, microneedling, microdermabrasion, radiofrequency

    • 4 weeks:  IPL, laser therapy

  • Additional care instructions for hair treatment:

    • Avoid washing hair and using hair styling products for the first 24 hours post treatment.

    • Hair dyeing or colouring may be resumed one week after the procedure.
